Verizon Wireless will soon add another low-cost QWERTY slider to its portfolio – Samsung Brightside. Unfortunately, it’s not a smartphone — rather it runs Samsung’s proprietary OS which does come with mobile Internet capabilities.

At the moment, we don’t have all information about the Brightside, but we do have few details. For instance, we do know it will come with a 3.1-inch touchscreen and side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, making it ideal for heavy texters on a budget. The price is unknown, but it’s really hard to imagine such a device will break anyone’s bank. Quite the contrary, Verizon may easily give it away to anyone willing to put his/her signature on a new two-year contract.

Finally, it is said that Verizon will launch Sammy’s feature phone at some point in March. We don’t have the exact date, and now that I’m thinking – I’m not sure you care to know that at all…
