Amidio is a self-described group of European mobile music enthusiasts. You may recognize the name as the company is the brainchild behind the popular OMGuitar app, an advanced guitar synthesizer for the iPad. On Monday, the company introduced the Futulele, a Ukulele app and case for the iPad and the iPhone.
The Futulele is basically a Ukulele synthesizer for iOS. The app can run by itself, but it’s best used on both an iPhone and an iPad. The iPhone serves as a fret board and the iPad contains the strings which you strum. The two iOS devices are housed in a case to make the Futulele as realistic as possible.
Amidio released a video showing the Futulele in action and it makes the system look like a whole lotta fun. The company has plans to release the iOS app in the near future and is looking for a case manufacturer to design a Ukulele case to give users the whole experience.
