This is the way to go. Rather than keeping us in the dark, Verizon Wireless decided to tell us which devices from its portfolio will get the Ice Cream Sandwich update later in the year. And while we would like to have specific dates, guess we shouldn’t ask too much since the Big Red carrier is not the only one pulling the strings here — handset makers also have their share of the work.

So here’s the list:

  • HTC: ThunderBolt, DROID Incredible 2, Rhyme, Rezound
  • Motorola: XOOM, DROID BIONIC, DROID RAZR, DROID RAZR MAXX, DROID 4, DROID XYBOARD 8.2, DROID XYBOARD 10.1
  • Samsung: Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 7.7
  • LG: Spectrum

At the end of the press release, Verizon said it will continue to update this list as additional details become available throughout the year. IntoMobile on its end will make sure you don’t miss a beat. 😉

Now we would like to see other major operators releasing their own lists, saving us some time from scattering through forums across the Interwebs…
