NASA explains Angry Birds Space gameplay mechanics [Video]

Angry Birds Space is releasing on iOS and Android later this month, but we still don’t know much about the game besides it taking place in space. Rovio knows this, which is exactly why they asked for help from NASA astronaut Don Petit to explain what we can expect from Angry Birds Space.

As you’ll see in the video below, Don has a little zero-gravity fun with a red Angry Bird, an inflatable pig, and some eggs. How he got those eggs onto a space station is beyond me, but I have a feeling it was similar to how Captain Koons got Butch’s father’s gold watch to him in Pulp Fiction.

When all of the science related jargon is said and done, the video shows some gameplay footage of Angry Birds Space virtually played on a Samsung Galaxy Note. The game looks to incorporate many physics related puzzles that use a number of gravitational pulls from orbits of various planets and other space material. When the game is released, it’ll have 60 levels with new birds, new abilities and secret levels. If you consider yourself an Angry Birds master, it looks like you can throw all you know about the game out the window once Angry Birds Space is released on March 22nd.
