Sprint branded HTC One X coming in June

Sprint’s first LTE phones may come in the form of the Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper but that doesn’t mean that it’s done putting more great hardware on the front lines for the summer smartphone battle. The most recent rumor pegs the HTC One X to launch on June 10th and will be given the name Jet before everything is said and done.

The HTC One X single-handedly owned the entire Mobile World Congress show last month in Barcelona, with few competitors coming close. Of course, we saw some very powerful and unique devices at Mobile World Congress this year but not only does the HTC One X stand out from the crowd with its gorgeous design and lust-worthy spec list but it also signals a new beginning for HTC and we’re glad to see that it’s kept the promises we heard a few months ago.

By the time the handset makes it to Sprint’s shelves, it will have undergone an identity crisis change and will be called the Jet by the time it launches. It also looks like the One X is going to go under the screwdriver and have its quad-core Tegra 3 processor swapped out for the Snapdragon S4 processor when it launches. We’re sure that this won’t matter for many of the average consumers who are interested in the One X/Jet but we can also imagine that some were looking forward to the Tegra 3 running this sexy handset.

This news comes to us from S4GRU, which also pegs the Galaxy Nexus and LG Viper to land on Sprint shelves on April 14th. So if you were looking forward to either one of these devices, you may be forced to wait a little longer if you want to get your hands on the ultra slick HTC One X/ Jet.
