10 million Angry Birds Space downloads in less than 3 days

Angry Birds started off as a sleeper application when it first released on iOS, then in no time it exploded onto everyones handset, later accounting for half a billion downloads. That’s why we knew Angry Birds Space would be an instant hit. Well, that prophesy has come true, as Rovio said it had hit 10 million downloads in three days. Yes, you heard correct.

Thing is, for just .99 cents users can get their hands on the latest and greatest application from Rovio, so it isn’t out of the realm to see these monstrous numbers. Besides, putting up a small fee for a completely redesigned game is nothing to loyal Angry Birds fans, or new players looking to venture into the furious fowls craze (check out our review of Angry Birds Space here). Rovio didn’t break out which of these 10 millions were paid for and which were the free, advertising based ones on Android.

I bought the game when it first came out, and I absolutely love it — so does my five year old son. Honestly, there’s really no reason not to buy the game, the guys over at Rovio deserves a hat tip for keeping the phone application at a buck, because they could have easily risen the price and still would have gotten the same impressive download numbers, I’m sure.
