T-Mobile USA announced that two of its HTC smartphones, Amaze 4G and Sensation 4G, will get Ice Cream Sandwich updates. That’s all nice except that the Magenta carrier failed to share exact dates with the world. Support pages for both phones says that the release and schedule for future updates are yet to be determined and that these support documents will be updated when details become available.
Certain models of HTC Sensation sold elsewhere have started getting the latest version of Android so I guess now it’s up to T-Mobile to make sure the new software runs properly and to squash some bugs along the way. After all, T-Mobile’s phones do run 3G on different frequencies (1700 MHz) so maybe some additional fine-tuning is required.
Needless to say, we’ll follow this story and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
