Evernote doesn’t want to leave its Windows Phone users behind, though the mobile client for Microsoft’s mobile platform still isn’t on par with iOS and Android version. Then again, it’s getting better and better… And just recently, the popular note-taking service released version 2.2 that introduces a number of much-requested features, including:
- Notebook sharing with the added feature for Premium users that enables them to allow other people to edit their notebooks. To share a notebook tap and hold it in the list, then select Share Settings; or tap on notebook, select more in the action bar, then choose Share Settings.
- Contextual search and note creation – which looks at your current position within the app. For instance, when you’re inside of a notebook or tag, searches will remain within that notebook or tag. The same goes for new notes that you create.
- More intuitive note editing – the editor now displays all the text and lets you edit it directly. Any images or audio attachments are presented in the gallery above the note area.
Additionally, there are some under the hood changes to make the app faster and more reliable. Moreover, you’ll never see that pesky “we need to check your notes” message again, which an improvement by itself…
