Let’s face it, modern smartphones can be hard to use, despite their icon-based UIs. Most of our readers are familiar with Android but there are also folks who would appreciate even more intuitive experience(s).
Sweden-based Doro has been in the super-easy-to-use phone making business for quite some time now and their latest product attempts to make smartphones one step closer to seniors. It’s a tough job but they think the new PhoneEasy 740 is well suit for the challenge.
The newly unveiled device packs both a touchscreen and sliding numeric keypad with large keys, making for a familiar experience. Moreover, this phone also comes with special UI and software (Doro Experience) that provides members of the family with full control over the web.
Specs wise, the Doro PhoneEasy 740 packs a 3G radio, 5-megapixel camera, emergency button with GPS location, as well as a number of pre-installed apps that allow senior population to use advanced Internet services. It is expected to hit the market at some point this summer. Price was not unveiled, though…
