NewsLook launches personalized video news app to iPad

We’ve already seen a number of personalized magazine and news apps like Flipboard and Zite, but none of them was focused on video exclusively. Enter NewsLook, a 24-hour global streaming video news service, which newly launched iPad app features a vast, curated library of news video from over 50 sources including Associated Press, Bloomberg and Reuters. As you can imagine, you are able to create your own custom channels like sports, politics, lifestyle, fashion, art and entertainment. Moreover, you can also select a specific type of interest such as some celebrity or “2012 presidential election.”

Pretty neat, especially for folks who prefer watching rather than reading news…

And for the record, NewsLook curates and publishes 150 videos daily in real-time and maintains a vast archive of over forty thousand videos. The company’s distribution platform incorporates content and data management, transcription services, publishing and monetization tools as well as robust APIs for digital publishers…
