A new LG smartphone was caught in the wild and we’re pretty confident it’s heading to Verizon Wireless. Marked as LG VS930, it’s the U.S. version of the LG Optimus LTE II, which was launched in South Korea few months ago and which is available in default black and sexy-lookin’ white color.
Specs wise, the upcoming device will rock Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon S4 SoC, 4.7-inch True HD IPS 720p screen, 16GB of built-in storage, global radio support (UMTS/CDMA/LTE), NFC, while Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich will run the show. However, unlike the Korean version of the device which was launched as the “first smartphone with 2GB of RAM,” the Optimus LTE II Verizon will offer sports “only” a single gig of RAM. Why that’s the case is beyond me — it’s not like that extra GB costs that much more.
Anyway, the rumor is that Verizon may unveil the LG VS930 as soon as July 13th, which is two days from now. Yeah it’s kinda strange to start/launch anything on Friday but hey – we don’t mind companies doing some extra work before the weekend. 😉
