Genius Brands International is teaming-up with Nokia to launch mobile apps for Lumia Windows Phone devices. Under the deal, a number of Baby Genius Ready, Play, Learn educational apps will be unveiled in the future, starting with Rexi the Dinosaur and Bubbles the Bear, which will hit the Marketplace later this summer.
The applications will feature entertaining animated movements that let children interact with the characters, learn and play games. Children will be able to interact and talk to Rexi or Bubbles, while the characters will repeat anything you say. Kids will have the ability to make them giggle, wiggle, play an instrument, kick a soccer ball and even eat a sandwich. Moreover, there will be an option to sing along with the characters and play back the duet instantly. Finally, the video recording will be included along with the ability to share those videos with friends and family members on social networking services like YouTube and Facebook…
Now we’re not sure this will help push Windows Phone forward, but then again, we thought the same thing when we first iPhone titles for children were unveiled…
