HTC has reportedly been working on a phone/tablet  hybrid device complete with a full 1080p display and quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Though little is known about the upcoming device, a user of Weibo posted what looks like a legitimate press render of the phablet, suggesting the device could launch as the HTC One X 5. The render shows a massive edge-to-edge display with the same red highlighting found on the EVO 4G LTE on the Sprint network.

We might not have many details about the One X 5, but we may not have to wait much longer to find out. HTC has a press event scheduled for this Wednesday, September 19th in New York where it may launch the One X 5 as well as various Android and Windows Phone 8 devices. Previous leaks have suggested a release on Verizon Wireless, however, so Big Red customers may want to pay extra close attention on Wednesday.
