Starting today, customers at one of 7,000 Starbucks stores will have a new way to pay for their venti skim caramel mocha vanilla cappuccinos. The company announced this morning that approximately 7,000 of its stores will begin accepting Square Wallet purchases, meaning anyone with an iPhone or Android device will be able to pay right from their smartphone. This is in addition to Starbucks’ mobile applications for Android and iOS, which already allow mobile payments at several Starbucks locations.

Payments are made via either NFC (on select Android devices) or by using your phone’s camera to scan a QR code through the Square app, similar to how Starbucks’ mobile payment applications work today.
