Just a few weeks after the Acer Iconia Tab A110 was unveiled, a higher-end Iconia A220 has appeared in GLBenchmark results. The benchmark doesn’t suggest whether we’ll see a 7″, 10″ or other-sized display, though it does show that Acer upped the ante on screen resolution. The A220 opts for a 1,280 x 752 display as opposed to the 1,024 x 600 display in the A110, and features a 1.3 GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
Other than the few leaked specs outlined above, little else is known about the Iconia A220, if the device even exists at all. It’s important to point out that benchmark results can very easily be manipulated, and the A220 can simply be a figment of someone’s imagination as opposed to an upcoming Acer product. We’ve reached out to Acer for comment on the A220, and will update this post if we hear back.
