Samsung is going after Ericsson for allegedly infringing on seven of its patents. The maker of the Galaxy S III is seeking a ban on some of Ericsson’s products in the United States. Samsung clarified its position in a statement, saying:

“We have sought to negotiate with Ericsson in good faith. However, Ericsson has proven unwilling to continue such negotiations by making unreasonable claims, which it is now trying to enforce in court.”

According to Samsung, the dispute has do with “telecommunications networking equipment.” Getting in a legal battle with Sammy is the last thing Ericsson needs to worry about, especially coming off such a mediocre third quarter, as the company seen a 17 percent drop in sales in its network biz.
