Nexus 4 getting Android 4.2.2 update soon?

A Nexus 4 user in Malaysia has apparently got a device with Android 4.2.2 running out of the box. And that’s not all, with some other reports from around the web suggesting select folks are getting this “still not officially announced” version of Android.

However, we’re also hearing this is just a bug fixing update that won’t bring any significant changes to Google’ 4th own-branded device. Still, that’s more than enough for some users, especially those who complained about their Nexus 4 slowing down and rebooting for no apparent reason. Moreover, some apps were everything but stable with Android 4.2.1.

Now we hope Google will quickly follow up and launch the update for all Nexus 4 users no matter where they live. We will keep our eyes focused on Google’s Nexus blog and let you know as soon as we read something new about it. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
