Sprint customers who want a little color in their lives are in luck today, as the carrier is exclusively selling the Samsung Galaxy S III in a new color scheme, Amethyst Purple. This marks the third color option for the Galaxy S III on Sprint, with other options including Pebble Blue and Marble White.
Sprint’s new offering will be $99 for the 16GB version with a new two-year contract and a $50 rebate. Sprint is also offering the phone for free for new customers who port their numbers over to their network. As far as specs go, the new purple version is the same as other Galaxy S III models, sporting a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, 4G LTE data speeds and a handful of Samsung software featuresthat provides enhanced motion and facial recognition.
