LG Optimus G2 coming in the third quarter

It’s no secret that LG is working on the successor to its Optimus G smartphone. The still-rumored Optimus G2 may be introduced in the third quarter, promising to bring “something different and something unique,” according to LG’s Head of Mobile Marketing, Won Kim.

So what that could be? If it’s really different, LG will stay away from the “screen race,” opting to keep a 4.7-inch screen rather than going for a bigger one. Moreover, we would guess the Optimus G2 will rock a faster Snapdragon 800 processor to make for an even faster user experience. 13-megapixel camera is also a must and so is 2GB of RAM (or more?), LTE connectivity support and so on. Plus, let’s not forget that by this time, Google may release Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

After spending some quality time with LG’s earlier flagships, including the Optimus G and Optimus G Pro, we’re kinda spoiled, expecting their next major announcement to be a big one. Can’t wait to see what these guys can show us. 😉
