Sunrise Calendar has proven to be one of the best calendar apps in the iTunes App Store, as it continues to make improvements. The orange themed application rolled out a new update (version 1.2) that brings a slew of much-needed features, including a phone call option with a single swipe, ability to ignore pesky invites, and the convenience to create events offline — perfect for when you lose reception traveling on the subway or train.
Here’s the full list of improvements added in Version 1.2:

Create events offline without a network connection (no more trouble in the subway!)

Dots in the calendar view when expanded to see what days have events

The new update has made the app a more enjoyable experience overall, and it gives it a better chance up against the likes of Tempo and Fantastical.
