A little known Chinese company Beidou (not to be confused with China’s search engine Baidu) will soon launch a pair of decent smartphones, both of which will be available for just $129 (799 Yuan).

The first device, Beidou Chi, has a 5-inch screen with 480×854 pixels resolution, MediaTek’s 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing one, 4GB of internal storage and a 2,000mAh battery. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean will run the show right from the get-go.

The second phone, Beidou F9, will sport a 4.5-inch qHD (540×960) display, 2,100mAh battery, while the rest of the specs will be the same as on the Beidou Chi.

Both phones will launch next week, offering awesome value for the money. Like that’s the case with many other devices made by the Chinese companies, I doubt these will ever be available in the West. Perhaps they hit few surrounding countries but that’s just about it…
