LivingSocial app lands on Windows Phone 8, hello Live Tiles!

Microsoft today announced the availability of the official LivingSocial app for Windows Phone 8. Now users get all they can handle from one of the top daily deals sites around. This isn’t just some half-assed mobile application, as many of the key WP8 features come with it such as the ability to see deals on your Live Tiles and lock screen wallpaper.

In addition, the LivingSocial app also lets users store their vouchers in the Windows Phone Wallet, which is a big deal because it eliminates the inconvenience of having to print. Users can also expect similar features seen on other platforms, including the ability to share the deal you bought to your friends by way of email or Twitter with the press of a button. Remember, if someone happens to buy the same deal you shared, LivingSocial covers the cost.

Although this news may not set the world on fire, it at least shows potential customers that major services like LivingSocial are willing to develop a native app for the Windows Phone 8 platform. Hopefully, Windows Phone can continue to show and prove; bringing apps like Instagram and Vine next would really help further the cause.

But ultimately, that’s a decision companies along with their dev teams would have to consider in the near future. However, in the meantime, Microsoft just has to keep delivering on the hardware and software end to make its case.

If you want to try the app, make sure you grab it from the source link below.
