Sony has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for its flagship smartphone, Xperia Z. According to Xperia Blog, users from all around the world are reporting receiving firmware version 10.3.A.0.423.

Among those impacted are owners of LTE-enabled models sold in Spain and Ukraine (C6603); carrier customized versions in Austria, Czech Republic and the Netherlands; as well as unlocked HSPA+ model sold in Taiwan (C6602).

That’s obviously just a part of the list with others getting the new software in the next few days or weeks.

Aside from changes included in this release of Android, we also expect some Sony-specific changes that will likely impact parts of the built-in software, adding tweaks here and there to make for a more stable experience.
