Volkswagen is running a series of print ads to help stop texting while behind the wheel. Designed with the help of Ogilvy & Mather Cape Town, South Africa – the “I’m in traffic” campaign depicts smartphones’ next word prediction capability to show dangers of this practice.

Here’s what these ads are saying:

  • I’ll be there in a wh – and the next words suggested are “while” and “wheelchair”
  • I’m in tr – shows “traffic” and “trauma”
  • See you n – “now” and “never”

The design is simple and the message is clear – your SMS can wait for another 10 minutes or so; it’s more important that you arrive safely to your destination. And that’s why many countries all around the world are now banning the use of mobile phone while driving. Don’t do it!
