Google finally took the wraps off of the updated Nexus 7 yesterday, and we may not have a long time to wait until we the next generation Nexus 10. According to the Wall Street Journal’s Amir Efrati, said device should be coming in the near future.

Expect to see new 10-inch Nexus 10 Android tablet (made by @Samsung) in the near future, Google’s @sundarpichai tells me

While the Nexus 10 isn’t even a year old, a refresh of the tablet would be welcomed. That said, the specs of the tablet are still pretty top-notch. The current model of the Nexus 10 ships with a 2,560 x 1600 display, 2GB RAM, Exynos 5 Dual CPU, and more.

With the nice set of specs already in the current version of the Nexus 10, we could only imagine what we’d find in the upcoming model. We could see a new CPU shipping in the next Nexus 10, along with updated cameras, along with Android 4.3. With the super high-resolution of the Nexus 10’s display in the current model, we wouldn’t be surprised if it went untouched, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

Like the new Nexus, the updated Nexus 10, depending on the updated specifications, may also ship with a higher starting price point. Still, if you’re looking for a high-end stock Android tablet, the Nexus 10 is hard to beat.
