British Sky Broadcasting Group (BSkyB) recently won a trademark dispute with Microsoft over the SkyDrive name. In a settlement released on Wednesday and picked up by The Verge, Microsoft said it will not appeal the ruling and will change the brand name for its cloud storage service. SkyDrive will continue to be used until the transition to a new brand is complete.

Microsoft confirmed to The Verge that this decision brings closure to the trademark dispute. “We’re glad to have resolution of this naming dispute, and will continue to deliver the great service our hundreds of millions of customers expect, providing the best way to always have your files with you.”
