Rumored NVIDIA ‘Tegra Tab’ Benchmarks Surface

Hot on the heels of the release of the Tegra 4 powered NVIDIA Shield come rumors that NVIDIA is working on another Tegra 4 powered device, this time in tablet form. Last week, pictures surfaced of a 7 inch tablet with Tegra Tab emblazoned on the backside. Today, a new benchmark filing shows the rumored tablet’s CPU clock speed.

While specs of the device are still unclear, we do know from last week’s photos that the Tegra Tab will be rocking a micro-HDMI port, rear-facing and front facing cameras as well as a micro USB charging port. The design is similar to that of other 7 inch tablets, with what appears to be a rubber casing on the back. It will most likely be touting a Tegra 4 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Since previous photos and the current benchmark originate from China, there’s a good possibility the Tegra Tab will launch in China before its way to the states. NVIDIA has filed for the ‘Tegra Tab’ name in the U.S. back in April, so we at least know the device will be making its way stateside sometime in the future.
