Metaio to showcase AR car manual on Google Glass

Metaio is preparing for a big show at InsideAR in Munich. The company announced the development of what it says is the first-ever hands-free, marker-less augmented automotive manual using Google Glass… but this tech will also be available for other wearable devices (Google Glass competitors), including those made by Epson and Vuzix.

In addition, AR experts from Metaio will also show us a new type of 3D tracking and recognition technology that utilizes CAD models to recognize and overlay 3D content onto the real world counterpart. This technology doesn’t require markers, GPS or point clouds, and it can work in pretty much any lighting conditions.

Finally, the company said that the new tracking technology presented in the demo below will be available for all existing (and future) wearable devices…
