Samsung is preparing to launch 8- and 10-inch tablets with AMOLED screens next year, SamMobile is reporting. These will be high-end units, competing with Apple’s iPad and iPad mini, whereas the rest of Sammy’s line-up will keep using LCD-based panels. In other words, we’re talking about 2014 Galaxy Note tablets.
We’re not sure when these tablets will be officially announced, but with two big events scheduled for Q1 2014, we only have to wonder whether that will happen in Las Vegas (CES) or Barcelona (Mobile World Congress). Or perhaps the Korean company launches these later in the year, at its own event or during IFA in Berlin.
