Sony has updated its WALKMAN app after reading through users’ feedback on blogs, forums and social media. The latest update to the application (version 8.0.A.0.4) brings a few neat changes, including “Newly added” and “Most played” playlists, as well as “Now playing” indicator for songs, albums and playlists.
In addition, there’s a new option to save a friend’s shared playlist, which should be particularly interesting for those who frequently fire-up the TrackID function. This in turn allows you to quickly turn your TrackID history into a WALKMAN playlist, with automatic track collation. Moreover, there’s a 30-second preview for every song for non-Music Unlimited users.
Finally, Sony said that they’ll keep listening to users’ feedback and update their apps whenever that makes sense to make WALKMAN the “most beautiful music player available.”
The update rolls globally this week for the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL and Xperia Tablet Z.
