Thanks to a few leaked photos, we now have an idea of what Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 lite will look like and what specs it will be packing under its belt. Known as the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, the device is a little smaller than the Galaxy Note 3, coming in with a 5.55 inch Super AMOLED display. The kicker is in the processor though, which will contain six cores, ‘Hexa-core’ processor if you will. That’s pretty interesting, considering Sammy could have packed one of their Exynos octa-core SoC’s in the Note 3 Neo. I mean come on, it’s just two more cores!
According to a few Samsung internal documents obtained by GSMArena, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo will come running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on a Hexa-core processor, which consists of two 1.7GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores. The Note 3 Neo packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD slot for expansion, a 3,100mAh battery an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 1.9MP front-facing shooter. The Note 3 Neo will also pack all of Sammy’s famous smart features such as Air Command, Advanced Multi Window, Direct Pen Input and the new Magazine UX, which was spotted at CES 2014 and is featured on the recently announced Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO.
Thanks to a picture published by SamMobile, we now have a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo as well. As you can see from the image above, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo is just a tiny bit on the smaller side than its bigger sibling the Galaxy Note 3.
We’re still in the dark when it comes to release date or availability, but with Mobile World Congress coming up in just a month, Sammy could unleash the Note 3 Neo then. Or if Samsung really wanted to make a splash, they could unveil the Note 3 Neo alongside their next flagship, the Galaxy S5, which is rumored to be launching in February of this year. We’ll be watching!
