On the heels of the recent update to the Xperia SP, Sony has started rolling out Android 4.3 software for its other devices, namely the Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V. Users all around the world should start seeing new software waiting to be downloaded though, as that’s usually the case, some markets will get it before others.

The new software will first hit unlocked phones with carrier-specific versions to follow at a later date. This is the usual practice and has little to do with Sony; each carrier is looking to test out the software before making it available to its users.

Aside from the Android version bump, this release also includes updates to a number of Sony’s apps, including Messaging, Smart Connect, Small apps, TrackID, Sony Select, Walkman, Album and Movies. In addition, there are also new Xperia Themes with downloadable packs from Sony Select, and an improved Stamina mode.

If you own one of these Sony devices, you may be already getting these goodies. If not – try manually checking for new software. Hop over to “Settings” -> “About phone” and take it from there.
