On the heels of the recently opened office in Singapore, Xiaomi announced expansion to other countries in the region, including Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Thailand.
The fast-growing handset maker is looking for carrier partners as we speak to convince them to offer both the mid-end Hongmi/Redmi and high-end Mi3 smartphones.
Unfortunately though, Xiaomi failed to mention anything about Europe and North America. Guess their strategy is to focus on Asia first and only then expand to other regions.
Anyhow, those who tried Xiaomi phones have nothing but good things to say about them; these are solidly built devices with fancy UI running on top of Android. In that sense, I’m glad to announce that our own Xiaomi Mi3 review is coming any day now. Perhaps even later today. Stay tuned. 😉
