A car smashed through the massive glass windows of an Apple Store in Berkeley, California early this morning. According to Apple Insider, the car not only crashed through a plate-glass window but busted through the Apple Store’s security gate as well. The cause of the smash-up is still unknown.
Cars smashing into Apple Stores is nothing new. While this particular incident looks like an innocent accident, similar incidents are of the smash-and-grab nature, where drivers crash through the Apple Store’s glass windows in order to quickly grab up any and all devices or products on display. Apple has installed steel security gates at their retail locations because of this, which almost trapped a pair of smash-and-grabbers in Temecula, California, as depicted in the video below.
