Yeah, we knew Google is working on a Project Tango tablet and voila – it’s here now. Called Project Tango Tablet Development Kit, this isn’t a device made for mainstream users but for those who want to test out and explore the capabilities of Google’s awesome technology.
Inside the device, we find NVIDIA’s super powerful Tegra K1, whose 192 programmable GPU cores deliver the “world’s most advanced mobile graphics and performance.” There’s also 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, LTE connectivity support, motion tracking camera, integrated depth sensor and a 7-inch screen.
You get to choose between black and white models, each selling for “just” $1024. As I said it at the beginning of this post, this isn’t a device made for mainstream users but those who could actually take advantage of Google’s technology… And are willing to pay a premium for early access.
