After LG, Motorola and Samsung – ASUS will be the next company to launch an Android Wear-based smart watch. According to TechCrunch, the Taiwanese company will bring this device to the market this fall with a price tag of below $150. Actually, the article says that ASUS’ watch will cost anywhere between $99 and $149, making for a that much easier sell. In comparison, the LG G Watch is selling for $229, while Samsung’s Gear Live could be yours for $199. As I’m writing this, we still have no idea how much the Moto 360 will cost.
ASUS’ watch will apparently boast an AMOLED screen and hit the store shelves in September. Screen size, sensor count and other details are still a mystery. We would assume some of the things LG’s and Samsung’s devices have are missing to justify the low price tag; but we could be wrong. Perhaps these two are just using the early mover advantage or something like that. In any case, we’ll make sure you don’t miss a beat; stay tuned as we bring you more.
