Lenovo has set an ambitious goal for 2014, with plans to move no less than 80 million smartphones by the end of the year, 60 million in China alone.
According to DigiTimes, this impressive volume will be spread across more than 60 different models, half of which will support 4G LTE connectivity.
As far as I’ve understood, all of these 80 millions smartphones will wear the Lenovo brand — Motorola is not included in the equation. We can’t imagine Motorola moving that many devices anyway, but their figures gotta count for something.
All in all, Lenovo will soon hit the magical 100 million mark; if not this year, then in surely 2015 when we hope to see some of their high-end models popping up across stores in the Western hemisphere…
