With all the fuss surrounding the IFA show in Berlin, we’ve almost missed this…
Just before the big event kicked off in Germany, AndroidPolice managed to get a scoop on the upcoming keyboard case for the soon-to-be-launched Nexus tablet.
As we’ve told you before, this will be one sexy device, boasting top-notch specs and body made out of aluminum. And guess what – Google will also offer the ever-handy keyboard case to go with its fancy tablet.
Since the HTC-made device will have an 8.9-inch diagonal, said keyboard will be wide enough to allow for comfortable typing experience. Compared to few iPad mini keyboards we’ve seen, we expect it to enable a much faster text input.
Also like Apple’s smart cover, the segmented areas of the cover flap will “fold up into a triangle using magnets,” supporting the tablet while it is propped up to use the keyboard. And when not in use, the tablet will nest into the case on top of the keyboard.
Finally, thanks to the built-in NFC chip, users will get to benefit from the seamless pairing process.
Again, once it’s out, the Nexus 8 (or that’s Nexus 9) will one of the best tablets money could buy. And yes – I want one. 🙂
