Microsoft is apparently already testing a Windows 10 build on some phones, WMpoweruser is reporting. It’s unclear, however, where this project stands at this moment and we’ll likely have to wait for another few months before seeing the first usable Windows 10 device hitting the market. This platform will come with revamped core that would allow Windows apps to work across different form factors and devices.
In the meantime, the Redmond boys (and girls) are also playing with Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2, which should include new features such as a data toggle in the action centre, sortable settings, support for new processors and Cortana coming in Alpha to more regions. This version will likely hit many Windows Phone devices in the next few weeks, debuting with Microsoft’s very first own-brand smartphone, set to be unveiled early next week. Stay tuned as we bring you more.
