December’s Android distribution numbers are out, and Android Lollipop is almost nowhere to be found. That’s not surprising since it has only recently been released and will take well into early 2015 to land on many Android devices. Jelly Bean sits at the top of the distribution charts, clocking in at 48.7% while KitKat is on 33.9% of Android devices. Gingerbread is finally taking a dive, running on 9.1% of Android devices. It’s great to see Gingerbread falling out of favor and KitKat gaining ground, but Android’s fragmentation problem is still a big issue despite multiple claims that fragmentation is coming to an end.
