Xiaomi has secured an additional $1.1 billion in funding at a valuation of whopping $45 billion.
The round was led by All-Stars Investments with participation of DST, GIC, Hopu Fund and Yunfeng Capital among others.
The fresh capital will be used to keep making great devices for everyone, according to the company’s CEO Bin Lin.
While announcing the news, he added that we’ll see the next Xiaomi flagship being announced in January. As far as we (don’t) know that could either be the Mi5 or Mi4s, the latter of which is a slightly beefed-up version of the current Mi4.
We just completed the latest round of funding last week, raising US$1.1 billion at valuation of US$45 billion. This is an affirmation of Xiaomi’s stellar results in four years, and heralds a new phase for the company.
