Samsung rolls out One UI 9.0 beta 6 for the Galaxy S26 series

Six betas deep and Samsung is still polishing One UI 9.0. That’s either a good sign or a worrying one, depending on how you look at it. But for Galaxy S26 owners who’ve been following along, there’s a fresh update to grab right now.

Samsung has released the sixth beta build of One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The rollout is starting in India, where users will see firmware version S94xBXXU4ZZHC landing as an 851.54MB download. It brings four changes according to the official changelog, though Samsung hasn’t spelled out exactly what those are in dramatic fashion. That’s pretty normal for late-stage betas, which tend to focus on squashing bugs rather than dropping flashy new features.

If you’re in India and want to check it out, head to Settings, then Software Update, then hit Check for Updates. Other regions where the beta program is active, including South Korea and the United States, should see the same build roll out within a few hours.

So why does any of this matter? One UI 9.0 is Samsung’s biggest software push of the year, and the fact that they’re already on a sixth beta tells you how seriously the company is taking stability before the public release. Android 17 brings meaningful changes under the hood, and Samsung’s take on it with One UI 9.0 will shape the experience for tens of millions of Galaxy users worldwide. Getting the beta right before it hits the masses is genuinely important.

This also fits into a broader pattern from Samsung. The company has been running structured beta programs across its flagship lineup for a few years now, using real-world feedback to clean up software before general release. It’s a smarter approach than shipping something broken to everyone at once, and loyal Galaxy fans who sign up for the beta get to feel like they’re part of the process.

  • Update size: 851.54MB
  • Firmware version: S94xBXXU4ZZHC
  • Devices covered: Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra
  • Initial rollout region: India
  • Other regions: South Korea and US expected within hours

If you’re on the fence about joining the beta program, just know what you’re signing up for. Betas can be rough. But beta six of anything is usually pretty close to what the final release will look like, so the risk is fairly low at this point.
