Ah, there’s nothing like gadget gore porn. The Motorola Droid X is the victim in question and it has been stripped all the way down to the screws to reveal its innards. How does this benefit you? Well, if you’re the type inclined to perform DIY repairs, or you jut like to tinker with little regard to warranties or damages, this tear down and tutorial wil be of great benefit. The following tear down shows you, step by step and in detail, how to take the Droid X apart along with all the tools you’ll need to do so.

As with anything that involves taking apart electronics and voiding warranties, do this at your own risk whenever you do get your new handset. Even if you’re successful in taking your handset apart and putting it back together, there’s a chance you could ruin the cosmetics of your phone. And hey, that’s quite a big deal for some people, believe me. Also, heed the guy’s warnings when he gives them:

If you don’t get steps 11 or 12 right away, don’t force the issue and keep trying.  Believe me, it took me about 5 hours on before I was able to figure this out so, take your time!

I get the feeling those are the sorts of things you don’t want to ignore.

Check out the video below and hit the link for full instructions on how to rip your Droid X apart as soon as you get it into your hands. If you pre-order the Verizon handset, the sooner you’ll get it!
