
If the iPhone taught the industry anything it is that features don’t count. You can make something technically inferior, but with a superior experience and move a lot of product. The OpenMoko guys are trying something new, they want to make a device that is open in every sense of the word. Opensource kernel, drivers, baseband software, a completely open device. Their intentions aren’t really clear, at least to me, but I commend them for trying something new.
