Pre-empting the Gravity Touch coming later this month and following up on the Wave launched on Rogers, Samsung recently released the Entro Wave on Bell. We’re all pretty familiar with the Wave by now: it’s Samsung’s first Bada phone, and comes with 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, a 5 megapixel camera with flash and HD video recording, and a 3.3″ 480 x 800 Super AMOLED touchscreen. I’m still curious to see how Bada fares in a pretty competitive smartphone OS market, but more power to ’em for trying.
The Entro is a low-key slider with a full landscape keypad and a touchscreen, a 2.6″ display clocking in at 240 x 320, 1.3 megapixel camera with flash, GPS, and Bluetooth 2.1. Interestingly, the Samsung Entro rides on CDMA network, which I figured Bell would have all but abandoned in light of turning on HSPA+. It sure would be a waste to let all of that CDMA network go to waste, though.
If you’re looking for something cheap and simple, you can find the Samsung Entro and the Samsung Wave at Bell both for $29.95 on a three-year contract. If neither of these tickle your fancy, the Galaxy S will also be coming to Bell soon.
