What should Apple announce at tomorrow’s press conference?

We all know Apple will hold a last-minute press conference Friday and it will probably address the “Death Grip” issues with the iPhone 4. We have our suspicions about what will happen but we want to know what you think.

The stainless steel band of the Apple iPhone 4 doubles as the antenna for cellular connection, WiFi and Bluetooth and this enabled the company to do a radical redesign. It all sounded pretty cool when Apple CEO Steve Jobs first revealed this but then things started to get pretty crummy.

On Apple iPhone 4 launch day, we were inundated with reports that holding the device in a certain way could lead to signal loss and dropped calls. This became a bigger problem over the last few weeks and Apple finally admitted there was a reception problem but it said it was a software bug that incorrectly displayed how much signal users were getting.

The experts chimed in and said otherwise, however. We’ve heard that the Apple iPhone 4 could have a physics problem and that this problem could just be from a bad production run. Some public relations experts are calling this Apple’s “Toyota moment” and that there should be a full recall.

What do you think, IntoMobile readers? One of the easiest solutions may be for the company to hand out free Apple iPhone 4 bumper cases, as this seems to alleviate the problem – this is also the first time the company released an iPhone case. If it is a systemic hardware problem, then Apple may be forced to recall the more than two million iPhone 4 devices out in the wild and this could cost up to $1.5 billion, sources say.

The press conference starts Friday at 10 a.m. PST and we’ll give you the skinny. In the meanwhile, let us know what you think in the poll and the comments section.
