Samsung Intensity II (SCH-U460) is made for heavy texters on Verizon

A new, still unannounced Samsung phone has been caught in the wild – Samsung Intensity II (SCH-U460). We don’t have all the details, but we do know the basics.

First of all, we’re talking about a low-to-mid range device made for heavy text and instant messaging users. Moreover, I would expect it will also come with some social networking app pre-installed to allow users to keep up with their buddies on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks.

Specs wise, there’s a 2-megapixel camera, side-sliding QWERTY keyboard that’s coupled with a regular numeric keypad, Bluetooth and I guess a microSD memory card slot.

Once released, Verizon will ask only a buck ($1) for the phone with a two-year contract. Alternatively, customers will be able to grab the Intensity II contract-free for $249.

Exact availability date is unknown at the moment, though…
