Remember the LG Rumour Plus? You know, the latest in LG’s line of Rumour devices, slated for launch on Bell? It’s been a bit of a debacle when it comes to this one. As far as I can remember, this is the timeline:
- internal memo states that the device is coming August 11
- another internal doc shows that launch has been pushed back to August 27th due to ‘manufacturing problems’.
Now, the latest in this never ending story has the launch date pushed back yet again, to September 15th. The problem? Yes, it’s the same one… Bell is citing manufacturing problems at LG. Ho hum.
I suspect Bell had wanted to get this one out in time for the ‘back to school’ rush, as the LG Rumour Plus is a texting-focused device to say the least. With a September 15th launch, I dare say the folks at Canada’s big blue will almost miss the boat. Hopefully no more delays hit the scene… would be nice to finally see this one on the market… it would mean I can stop writing about it 🙂
