A new Pantech devices for AT&T has been caught at the website of the Federal Communications Commission. Marked as P9050 “Sparrow”, the still unannounced phone comes with a 3G radio that sings along AT&T 3G network’s bands (850/1900 MHz). Moreover, there’s a 3.1-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) touchscreen on board, a 3-megapixel camera with video capture, Bluetooth, GPS and of course a microSD memory card slot. In terms of services supported, the user manual mentions AT&T’s Video Share and Mobile Locker.
And that’s about all we got at the moment. We don’t know, though we hope, this baby runs Android. Likewise, we’ve no idea when will AT&T and/or Pantech officially launch the Sparrow. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for too long, cause this sounds like a solid mid-range device that, if priced correctly, could sell like hot cupcakes. We’ll keep watching and let you know as soon as something interesting comes up. Stay tuned, k? 😉
