Motorola Atrix 4G rooted, system dump now available

With the Motorola Atrix 4G just days away from launching, you may like to know that the handset has been rooted already, and a system dump has now dropped for your downloading pleasure. This is certainly good news for the user who wants to look at the Atrix’s software innards, but hopefully this won’t make Moto go loco and drop a C&D.

Some of these link may be broken, so you should grab the remains while you can. Below is a video of the Atrix 4G’s boot animation running on a Samsung Captivate for AT&T, and it’s nothing special. It’s nice to see progress has been made, but I’m not terribly sure many people would want to consciously put Motoblur on your phone. Either way, we’re certainly glad to see the Android hackers will have something to do once they get their hands on the device, which could be as soon as Monday.

So if you’re looking to kill some time as you wait for the dual-core toting Android phone, this may be just what the doctor ordered.
